About Jacob James

Hi there! My name is Jacob James and I am the owner of Workingman Finance and Alabayou.

Workingman Finance is a personal finance blog that aims to provide tools and resources to help the working man turn their income into generational wealth using time-tested money principles.

As someone who has personally experienced the transformative power of good financial management, I am passionate about helping others achieve financial success.

In addition to Workingman Finance, I also own Alabayou.com, a website dedicated to preserving the culture of the Gulf Coast region, particularly the culture of commercial fishing families.

As a resident of the Gulf Coast and someone with a family history in the seafood industry, I understand the struggles that these families face and the importance of keeping tradition alive. Alabayou was created to help support these families and preserve the traditions of the Gulf Coast.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Operations Management from the University of Alabama in 2017, with a specialization in the supply chain. In 2019, my fiancée (now wife) and I were able to pay off $45,000 in debt in just one year, thanks to the principles taught by Dave Ramsey.

This experience has had a profound impact on my life and inspired me to start Workingman Finance to help others find financial freedom.

I have a deep passion for personal finance and am committed to using my skills and knowledge to help others achieve their financial goals.

Thank you for visiting my website and I hope you find the resources and information on Workingman Finance and Alabayou.com helpful and inspiring.
